Summer Happenings

We are on our second week of summer and so far, so good. The first day was really fun. I was trying to be super mom because Scott was gone. When the kids talked to him that night they were all in great moods and told him of all the fun they had that day at the pool. When it was my turn to get to talk, Scott congratulated me on a job well done, stating all the kids seemed so happy. I cautiously reminded him that is was day 1 and that it was sure to be a downward spiral from there. AND....it is, but still fun!

Here is the low down on each kiddo so far:
Claire is desperately trying to stop biting her nails. We were given a tip to paint them with clear polish every day until she gets some white (meaning above the actual nail bed) and then to upgrade to a very pale shade of pink. It is going very slow, but she is trying very hard. This week she is attending soccer camp. She has had one sleepover so far with Olivia and got to go the Cards game last week and sit in really good seats!

Emma is in a camp this week called Squish Splat! She is loving it. I can only describe it by saying that it is all things messy that I would never let her do at home. Since she loves a mess, it is a good fit. Emma purchased some new sunglasses that she loves wearing at the pool, especially when she is "sunbathing"! She remains my one child that actually has not gotten a sunburn despite all her time sunbathing?!

Sam is also attending soccer camp this week and is tired. He asked to go to bed around 1pm today on the way to the pool. He plays hard and he sleeps hard. He is working hard to earn 25 punches on his reading card so that he can earn a Cardinals ticket.

I am excited because we are getting a king size bed tomorrow. I have absolutely no idea how I will fit it in my room, but I am determined to make it work. I cannot wait to sleep in it.

Well I am off to measure how I can squeeze it in! Wish me luck!
