We rocked and rolled it!

Mel and me post-race

Today was the St. Louis Rock n' Roll half marathon that I have been training for since the summer. The weather was great and I felt ready to roll! I hit the metrolink with 3 friends and we were ready to head to our corrals. I ran the first 6.5 miles with Tiffanie Upshaw and then I had to get off the course for a potty stop. After that I never could regain my pace, but I finished in 2:00:13. I would have loved to finish with Tiffanie as the second half seemed hard without her. She came in at 1:57 and I figure that was about as long as I was in the potty line...

Tiffanie and me after the race

And my running partner Melanie really rocked it! I am super proud of her. After I took the running coach training course over the summer she became my first client. I set her up on an intense program that I knew she was capable of and she proved to herself that she is a runner! She ran this race in 2:14, shaving over 15 minutes off of her previous PR. I tell her that this is when it pays to have a "bossy friend". I love you Melanie and I am so proud of your accomplishment.

Here are my stats from my shoe chip, not that anyone cares but me, but I love this kind of thing!
